Shirley Marie Hammond, 68, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born at Naylor, Missouri, on November 12, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Spencer and Delphia Case. Shirley spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She was united in marriage to the late Billy Hammond on January 1, 1995. Shirley was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church. During her working years, she worked at the shirt factory for 32 years and was a caregiver for 8.5 years. She tried her best to be a good mother and a great grandmother. Shirley hoped they all knew how much she loved them.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Lora Rosencrans of Ash Flat, Arkansas, and Melissa Beard of Manila, Arkansas; brothers, Dewayne Spencer and wife Joan of Wright City, Missouri, and Ronnie Spencer of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Marsha Post of Warrenton, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hammond; parents, Lloyd Spencer and Delphia Case; son, Darrel Holloway; granddaughters, Kimberly Cunningham and Alisha Holloway; sister, Margaret Spencer, and brother, Leon Spencer.
