Ms. Stricklin had worked in retail for over 20 years retiring in 2002 having served both Kmart and Wal-Mart department stores in the shoe and health and beauty aids departments. She enjoyed country Music particularly Banjo Music. Shirley enjoyed photographs of family and friends. Ms. Stricklin had collected collector plates and various nick knacks and enjoyed feeding birds.
Surviving are one son, Martin “Marty” Stricklin (wife-Diane), Muncie; three grandsons, Martin II “Marty”, Zachary “Zach”and Tyler Stricklin all of Muncie; two sisters, Willow Dean “Dean” Franks (husband-Joe), Mishawaka and Brenda Marie Melson (husband-Cledith), Florence, Alabama; one brother, Jerry Adams, Toney, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; five brothers.
