Shirley Mae Highbarger-Wolf
Shirley Highbarger-Wolf, 75, a resident of Gooding, Idaho died, Saturday, May 1, 2011 at Bennett Hills Care Center in Gooding.
Shirley, was born on April 14, 1936 in Stone County, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Inez Highbarger (former residents of Gooding, Idaho).
She was a substance abuse counselor for over 20 years. She devoted her life to helping people in recovery. She herself was in recovery for over 41 years. After the death of her daughter she raised two of her grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Rossow. Shirley was very loving, supportive and generous. She also had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by four sons Bob Worth of Gooding, ID, Tom Worth of Gooding, ID , Tim Rossow of Newman Grove, NE , Mike Maul of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and one daughter Kelly Brown of Gresham, NE. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by mother Inez (Nanny) Highbarger, father Paul (Papa) Highbarger and daughter Kimberly Rossow.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Bennett Hills for their patience and loving care.
