Shirley Mae Harris, 87, of Kingwood died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood with family by her side.
She was born May 2, 1928, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Henry and Nevada Jane Taylor Owens. Shirley’s mother died when she was 11 months old and was raised by her grandparents, Anthony and Mary Bolyard.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cook and homemaker. She worked at Mamie’s and Mary’s restaurants and for Camp Dawson. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 2345 in Tunnelton, the Homemakers, Senior Center and the Historical Society, all of Tunnelton.
