Shirley Myrn (Patrick) Perkins died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She was reunited with her husband, the love of her life, Ellis Perkins, on April 28, 2018. Mom left a legacy to her children and grandchildren of loving family and friends with unconditional love. Mom’s spirit was able to find joy in even the most difficult times. Mom’s love of life was evident to all that met her. She never met a stranger.
Mom was born on a beautiful spring day March 26, 1935 to Jim and Harriet (Guthrie) Patrick. In mom’s early years she lived in Mesa where her dad ranched. When the war started, her parents moved to the Guthrie ranch with her grandma Ada, who she adored. After the war ended they moved to the Patrick ranch. Mom was active in 4-H, tumbling, band and sorority. She graduated from Emmett High School and attended Boise Junior College. Mom was an artist who loved to paint and create beautiful art. She loved time with her children and grandchildren.
In 1954, she married her first love, Bob Bork, and they had 2 beautiful children Steve and Patty. In 1960, mom met the love of her life, Ellis Perkins, who had 2 handsome boys Jack and Dale. Mom and dad married June 4, 1960 and had 2 beautiful daughters Sandy and Heidi.
