Shirley Lee Claywell, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Shirley was born to Lester and Lula Mae Sampson on June 24, 1937 in Madison, Indiana.

She prided herself on being a “Domestic Engineer”, by which she meant that she was a mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother first and foremost. Those who loved her will remember her most for her love of animals, crocheting, gardening, baking, and cooking. She was also known for being a good woman, and a woman that had great faith in Christ.

She is survived by her husband, David Claywell of Indianapolis, IN; five children, Deborah Lock of Franklin, IN, John Robson Sr. (Celeste) of Algonquin, IL, Ronald Robson of Indianapolis, IN, Lorrie Biro of Greenwood, IN, and Samuel Long (Amy) of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Nancy Gray of Martinsville, IN; 15 grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Samuel Long; her son, Ryan Long; two sons-in-law, Mike Lock, and Robert Biro; her parents; and one brother, Richard Gray.
