Shirley Lee Miner, 81, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away at The Arbors Memory Care in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 23, 2014. She was born to Fay Samuel and Goldie Grace (Hazen) Glasson Miner on September 17, 1932 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She attended a one-room country school near Graf, Nebraska and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1950. After graduation, Shirley attended Lincoln School of Commerce and graduated with an accounting degree. She was a life-long bookkeeper and accountant. While in Tecumseh, she worked as bookkeeper for Chief Rexall Drug. Shirley moved to Santa Clara, California in 1968 and managed apartments and did bookkeeping until retiring and moving back to Lincoln, Nebraska around 2004. Shirley was an avid collector of bears, stamps, coins, dolls and antique toys.
She is survived by long-time family friend, Gaylene (Oldfather) Barstow and husband Jim of Lincoln, NE.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Goldie Miner and long-time companion, Laudine Ploetz.
