Shirley L. Gilbert, 69, of Duff Avenue, Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Gilbert was employed with Texas Roadhouse for 13 years and did a lot of food prep. She was born in Ocean Mines, WV on June 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Matt and Lula J. Roach Swartz. She is survived by three children, Joseph Landis and his wife Yvonne, Clarksburg, Helen Miller and her companion, Larry Wolford, Clarksburg, and Bobby Jim Jewell, Jr., Virginia; eight grandchildren, Joseph M. Landis, Brandon S. Miller, Jessica R. Jones, Jessica D. Miller, Ashley D. Murphy, Robert Franklin Jewell, Shawn A. M. Jewell, and Alexis R. Jewell; four great grandchildren, Robert Joseph, Carolynn, Kaden and Connor; one brother; and three sisters. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Shirley loved poker machines, wrestling, and all sports.
