Shirley L. Alexander, 84, of Fairmount, Indiana died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Wesleyan Health Care in Marion, Indiana. Shirley was born on December 17, 1933, in South Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Chester and Louise (Maier) England.
She was married to Charles Robert Schultz from 1958 until his death in 1972 and then married James Jim Alexander. He also preceded her in death. Shirley had been self-employed accountant and bookkeeper for 67 years since the age of 17. She was a member of the Swayze eastern Star since 1959, the Grant County Home Economics Club, MainStreet Artists of Fairmount, and attended theFranktonChristian Church. Shirley enjoyed painting landscapes and scenery.
Shirley is survived by two sons; Marc ( Priscilla) Schultz, Fairmount, IN, and Carl (Ruby) Schultz, Seymour, IN, and six grandchildren; Whitney (Curt)Haisley, Anthony (Maria) Schultz, Joshua Schultz, Angela (Jay)Chenoweth, Kyle (Stephanie) Martin and Scott Martin, and 11great-grandchildren.
Shirley was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Chester England, and sister, HelenBoyer.
