Shirley Ilene Knapp, 81 of Scottsdale passed away November 25, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born January 16, 1929 in Allegan, Michigan the daughter of Clarence and Mary Catherine Jordan Adrianson. Shirley was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI prior to moving to Arizona 30 years ago, where she worked for Westcor until her retirement.
Preceded in death by her husband William Knapp in 1997, she is survived by two sisters, Dorothy (Ed) Volstromer in Arizona and Genevieve (Duane) Eishen in Michigan, two step children, Laura Knapp in Washington, and Leo Knapp in California, several nephews and nieces, and her cat, and longtime companion “Miga” The family would also like to thank the staff at Scottsdale Healthcare-Thompson Peak for their loving care of Shirley over the past few weeks.
