Mrs. Shirley Joan Marvin, age 74 of Parkersburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Marvin was born on July 29, 1939 in Salem, WV, a daughter of the late Creed Miller Sr. and Zella Watkins Miller. Shirley retired from Arlington Personal Care Home in Parkersburg as a supervisor and was very compassionate for the elderly and the children. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was Christian by faith and baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit. She is survived by her loving husband Henry Milo Marvin whom she married on January 15, 1959; one son, Timothy Milo Marvin, Parkersburg; one sister, Mary Newlon and husband Larry, Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Philo Marvin on August 11, 1995; three brothers, Creed Miller, Jr., Paul Miller and Eugene Miller; one sister, Helen Sandy.
