Shirley Jean Bunn “Memaw” Allen, 81, of Newnan, widow of Julian Allen died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Piedmont Healthcare Newnan. Born in Gay, January 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Martha Crews Bunn. She was retired from Kason after many years of service.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Fred Bunn. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Congo of Newnan; a son, Donald “D.J.” Allen of Breman; grandchildren, Kristy Boynton and Marcie Vinnacombe and husband Ken, all of Newnan; three great-grandchildren, Maya Witherspoon, Jacob Vinnacombe and Johannah Vinnacombe; two sisters, Eva Petty of Valdosta and Pat Pugh of Millport, AL; a brother, David Bunn of Sharpsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
