Mrs. Oxford was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lon D. Oxford Jr. and son, Homer Eugene Oxford. She is survived by her son, Lon D. Oxford III; daughter, Lisa D. Oxford; sister, Barbara Brower Fraser; granddaughter, Kimberly D. Sherrouse; and grandsons, Thomas D. Morris and Rodney B. Sutton.
