Shirley J. Bardwell, 79, of Metamora, IL passed away at 11.14 pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 22, 1942 in Independence County, Arkansas to Lester C. and Willie Mae (Tate) Winkle. She married William E. “Bill” Bardwell, Jr. on February 3, 1962 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed away on October 20, 2016.
Surviving are her daughter, Hope E. (James) Duncan of Germantown, WI; grandchildren, Cassandra (Sam) Lisicki, Luke Duncan, Ian Bardwell, and Hayden Bardwell; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Piper, and Sully Lisicki; and sisters, Cathy Hobbs and Marcia Winkle both of Arlington, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, son and daughter-in-law Michael (Dr. Susan) Bardwell, and brother Bobby Dean Winkle.
Shirley worked for Revlon as a sales representative for twenty years. She truly lived life on her own terms loving her family, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She loved her family and friends and was always generous to those who knew her. A special thank you to all who shared and watched out for her after dad died.
