Shirley M. Goodnick, 88, of O’Fallon, IL, born May 5, 1924 in Shiloh, IL, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, O’Fallon & Shiloh Senior Citizens, and a former member of both the Retail Clerks Union and Order of the Eastern Star 487.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin D. Goodnick, father, Oliver Dittle, a brother, Gerald Dittle and a sister, Loretta Wiemann. Shirley is survived by a son Bruce D. (Renee) Goodnick of Shiloh, IL, 2 grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Goodnick and husband Dr. Alex Hughes of Norman, OK, Benjamin (Karoline) Goodnick of Chicago, IL, great granddaughter, Olivia Goodnick of Chicago, IL and a nephew, Gerald G. Dittle of Hawaii.
