It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Mae Galentine announces her passing on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the age of 80. She was born September 9, 1942, in Ellicott City, MD, the daughter of the late Norman and Ludelle Leatherman. She grew up on a farm in Uniontown, MD. On September 1, 1962, she married Harold E. Galentine, and they resided in Severn, MD. She had a long career at Giant Food. Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who truly lived life to its’ fullest! She loved to dance and spend time with her friends and family.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, two sons, Rodney (Shelly) of Newark, DE and Jeff (Darlene) of Pasadena, MD, and four grandchildren, Jordan, Candace, Nicholas and Jenna, a brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, and many countless friends. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Galentine and sister Frances.
