Shirley Dianne Messer Kitchens, 67, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on August 17, 2021, of natural causes. Ms. Kitchens was born on March 24, 1954, in Valley, Alabama to Sylvia Sykes Messer and Jimmie Messer, Sr.
Ms. Kitchens worked as a customer service representative for over 25 years before retiring in 2012. She grew up attending the Congregational Christian Church in Lanett and later Living Word Assembly of God Church in Lanett.
Ms. Kitchens is survived by her two children, Deborah (John) Mitchell of Auburn, Alabama and Jason (Marcia) Holloway of Carrolton, Georgia, grandchildren, Jason Todd Holloway, Jr., Bailey (Cody) Raughton, Lola Grossman, and great-grandchildren, Austyn Raughton and John Griffen Raughton, siblings, Jimmy Messer of Lanett, Alabama, Jerome Messer of Alexander City, Alabama, Jimmie Messer, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Peter Messer of Orlando, Florida, Christina Messer of Orlando, Florida and Crystal Messer of Daytona, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Kenneth Claude Kitchens of Lanett, Alabama, sister, Natasha Messer of Orlando, Florida, grandson, Jacob Brent Holloway of Carrollton, Georgia and nephew, Eddie Messer, of Orlando, Florida.
