Shirley Moscrop Davis of Grahamsville, NY passed away peacefully at the Glen Arden Health Care Center on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was 81.
She was born on September 17, 1939 to John James Moscrop and Lila Seamans Moscrop in Cortland, NY.
Family was always a top priority for Shirley. She grew up in Cortland, NY, surrounded by a large and loving extended family with whom she maintained close ties throughout her life. She met her husband Owen while attending SUNY Albany where they both received bachelors and master’s degrees. They married on May 30, 1962. A few years later they made their home in Grahamsville, NY, where they raised their family and remained throughout their adult lives. Shirley devoted her career to teaching secretarial/business courses at Sullivan County Community College.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Owen Ferriter Davis, parents, John and Lila Moscrop, sisters, Patricia Stupke and Linda Grant, and daughter-in-law, Jodi Becker Davis.
Shirley is survived by her children, Paul Davis, Susie Davis-Bower (John), Laurie Bunning (Paul), her grandchildren: Pierce (Nastasha), Jyliann (Kyle), Preston, Owen, Maggie, Morgan, and Jackson, and many extended family members.
