Shirley V. Capo, 81 of American Canyon, (Napa) California, formerly of Metairie, La, died peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2015. Shirley Gay was born May 6th, 1933 in New Orleans, La to Ishmael and Nellie Vidonne. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in New Orleans in 1951. Shirley went to University of Alabama and left to become a homemaker. Later she was the office manager for the Louisiana State Horse Racing Commission at the Fair Grounds and Jefferson Downs race tracks. After her career in the racing industry she continued working for Albert M. Stall Oil Properties as office manager until her retirement. Shirley is proceeded in death by her parents Ishmael and Nellie, her husband Miguel J Kenning Jr., and second husband Leon Capo Jr. She is survived by her son Miguel (Josephine) Kenning III; grandchildren Miguel IV, Nicholas, and Cassandra Kenning of American Canyon, California; and daughter Alison (Jack) Allen; Jack Jr, and Scarlett Allen of New Orleans Louisiana. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Napa Valley Hospice and Home Instead Senior care of American Canyon for their support in her final days.
