Shirley C. (Vidito) King, 88, Of North Andover, formerly of North Reading, died Tuesday, August 7th at Prescott House Retirement Home surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. King was born and raised in Wakefield, MA where she and her family were members of the Quannapowitt Yacht Club. She was the daughter of the late Edith and Wendell Vidito. Shirley was the widow of John D. King and sister to the late Olive Hanrahan and Wendell Vidito, who both served in the US Marine Corps. She leaves her beloved sister Linda Redfearn of Tyngsboro, MA. Shirley was the loving mother of Karen King, Middletown RI, Barry King and wife Patricia of Waldoboro, ME, Philip King and wife Robyn of Ipswich, MA and Meredith Mayo and husband Scott of North Andover, MA. Cherished grandmother of Shannon, Max, Devin, Philip and Samuel King, and Joshua and Sarah Mayo. Great-grandmother of Sean and Logan King. Shirley was a secretary for many years at American Mutual in Wakefield, MA. She enjoyed baking and worked at the Atlantic Supermarket Bakery in North Reading, MA. Shirley had a successful cake business out of her home for many years. Her other hobbies included sewing, knitting and gardening.
