Shirley was born August 11, 1945, at Watts Hospital in Durham, NC, to the late Earnest Griffin and Esther Ruth Emory Freeman. She was a graduate of Durham High School, class of 1963. Shirley retired after 25 years, working as a Fraud Investigator with Verizon.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert (Bob) C. Rogers and her son, Todd Rogers (Rhonda).
