Shirley A. Poole, 82, of Lakeland, died peacefully of heart failure, Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 in Santa Maria, CA. Shirley was born in Milwaukee, WI, April 13th, 1930 to Ralph Switzer and Evelyn Brandon-Switzer. She was employed at Essex Wire in Wauseon, OH, until her move to Lakeland, FL in 1975. She eventually retired from K-Mart Corp as a sales associate and supervisor. Shirley was liked by everyone and had the most generous of hearts and total devotion to her pet dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Poole, who passed away on November 20th, 2007.
She is survived by her siblings; Betty Ward of Ellenton, FL and Robert Switzer of Archbold, OH. Children; Gary Poole of Powell, OH, Linda Cook of Mountain City, TN, Deborah Grove of Santa Maria, CA, and Gail Matute-Lyons of Lakeland; Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
