The world said goodbye to a kind and gentle soul as Sherwood James Hall III of Moscow died Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017. He was 69. Sherwood was born in October, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida to Sherwood and Elaine (Fairbanks) Hall. When he was young the family moved to California. Sherwood especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in the Gualala Redwoods on the coast of California. He graduated from high school in Cloverdale California. He then attended college in Santa Rosa and at Humboldt State. Sherwood and Janice Scully met and were married in Juneau, Alaska on February 15, 1969. They moved to Moscow in 1973 where Sherwood enrolled at the University of Idaho, graduating in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration. He went to work at Les Schwab Tire in Moscow for several years and helped them transition to the new store on White Avenue in the mid 1980’s.
