Sherwood Woody Jewett, 81, of Ottawa, died Monday morning February 14, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Sherwood was born July 26, 1929 in Richland Center, Wisc. to Harvey and Maude (Poole) Jewett. He married Bernadine Jones on July 25, 1950 in Richland Center, Wisc.
He was a member of Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene. He owned and operated Woodys Refinishing for 19 years. He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Jewett, two sons, Ronald (Linda) Jewett, of Burlington, Iowa and Dennis (Debbie) Jewett, of Sycamore, one daughter, Vicki (Wally) Hanson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one brother, Wallace Jewett and one sister Ardith Buroker. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Fred Jewett. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey, Joey, Chad and David Jewett, Chris and Bryan Hanson.
