Sherryl G. “Sherry” Leeper, 55, of Union, MI, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 7:08 am.
She was born in Dayton, OH on Mar. 1, 1961 to Curtis L. Leeper of Anderson and the late Joan E. (Jarnagain) Leeper, and is survived by her spouse of over 11 years Donald “Don” Huber, who resides at home.
Also surviving are her children Jason (Amie) Gilman of South Bend and Racheal Schaap of Ludington, MI; grandchildren Jason Gilman, Jr., Andre and Travis Wilborn, Levi Sellers, Cameron Baker, Kaylee Carpenter and Adrianna Ash, and her close friends (who also helped out as caregivers) Bonnie Farnham, Timmy Bourn, Darlene White, Nancy Miller, Bobby Eppert, Lori Dunfee, Mark Richards and Angela Eppert. A granddaughter, Faith Gilman and a brother, B. Scott Leeper, precede Sherry in death.
Although she was a regular fixture down at Mills Grocery Store in Union for nearly 15 years, Sherry’s greatest love was to spend time with her family and friends. She will be best remembered for her selfless and giving nature, her amazingly ever-present concern for others (even at the height of her illness), and her ability, even in the face of adversity and pain, to live her life with grace and dignity.
