Ms. Sherryl Lee “Sherry” Dolph, 62, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1:16 pm at her home following a brief illness. She was born on May 31, 1959 in Olathe, Kansas to the late Richard L. Dolph and Mrs. Janice (Weatheread) Dolph, who survives her in Elkhart.
Also surviving Sherry are her sons Andrew Tyler (Jana G.) Smith, Stephen Michael (Tina) Smith and William Joseph “Will” Smith, all of Elkhart; sisters Jeannie and Lisa Dolph, both from Elkhart and a whole host of loving grandchildren, extended family, close friends and helpful neighbors.
In accordance with her personal wishes, Sherry chose to be cremated with the assistance of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart.
Sherry was a homemaker who spent nearly 10 years being a foster parent as well in her earlier years. She loved all things vintage and classic, from cars to Rock-n-Roll, and especially liked her 70’s rock like Meatloaf and Loverboy. She also had a secret crush on Patrick Swayzee back in the day, but that eternal flame of love would also glow for David Cassidy as well!
Being around kids most of her life certainly helped in raising three boys. They seemed to enjoy doing things together, and she even coached and helped out with their baseball teams when they were younger. She also liked to cook and was a bit artistic, preferring color and design over anything.
