Sherry R. Sykes 70 of Mecca passed away on Feb 16, 2014 at 11:47am in her residence. She was born on March 20, 1943 in Clinton to Manley Smith and Geneva Poff Smith. She had worked at Uselman Foods.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jack Smith.
She is survived by a son Shawn & Amy Sykes of Terre Haute and a daughter Stefanie Cavanaugh of Terre Haute. A brother Don Smith of Mecca, two sisters; Janet Overpeck of Mecca and Sandra Hutson of Mecca. Four grandchildren; Sierra Sykes, Shelby Sykes, Chelsea (Matt) Stout and Allison Cavanaugh. One great granddaughter Harper Stout and several nieces and nephews.
