Sherry Lee (Caplinger) Murphy, 69, of Grafton WV, passed on, on November 1st. 2021 at Grafton City Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born on February 16th. 1952 in Rochester Pa. A daughter of the late Kenneth R. Caplinger, Sr. and Beatrice B. (Howells) Caplinger.
Mrs. Murphy was married to James R. Murphy, Jr, on August 22nd. 1970 in Monaca Pa, who preceded her in death February 13th. 2012. In addition to her husband and parent deaths, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Dana C. (Murphy) Dulaney and brother Michael W. Caplinger. She is survived by her two sons. James S. “Beau” Murphy of Grafton, Wv; children Hannah (Travis) Conrad, Lily, Isaac and Emma Murphy. Scott J Murphy of Grafton Wv; children Brynley and Aubrie Murphy. Additionally her 2 great grandchildren, Myra and Lukas Conrad survive her. As well as, brothers: Kenneth “Ken” (Sherry) Caplinger, Jr. of Pa, William “Bill” (Bev) Caplinger of Oh, Jeffery ”Jeff” (Sylvia) Caplinger of Pa, Timothy “Tim” Caplinger of Pa, and her sister Lori Caplinger (Robert “Bob” Leeds) of Fl. Her sister in law, Penny Caplinger, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins survive.
She was a devoted Christian by faith who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, baking, photography, collecting carousels and angel figurines.
