Sherry Elaine Shaver, age 71, of Palestine, Texas, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, the 20th day of August 2022. Ms. Shaver was born in Palestine, Texas on the 2nd day of July 1951 to parents Jack Shaver and Helen Odom Shaver.
Ms. Shaver was a devout Christian and devoted her life to serving the Lord many years ago. She was a member of Evangelistic Temple where she worshipped with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Her relationship with the Lord was of up most importance to her and she made time every day to spend with Him in prayer.
Ms. Shaver also enjoyed music, particularly gospel singing, Jimmy Swaggart, and Elvis music. Some of her best memories were made at the beach, a destination Ms. Shaver loved to visit. Ms. Shaver set a loving Christian example for her family that will live on forever. She was very giving and thoughtful of others. She is gone but never forgotten and a piece of her will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Ms. Shaver joins in Heaven her parents Jack and Helen Shaver; sister, Glenda Scroggins; brother, Terry Jack Shaver; niece, Dara Pace; and her nephew, Stewart Shaver.
Left to cherish the good memories of Ms. Shaver are her daughters, Shaina Dawson of Palestine, Texas, and Kerri Warren and husband David of La Grange, Texas; son, Jeremy Jett and wife Amy of Sealy, Texas; brothers, Donald Shaver and wife Pat, and Randy Shaver and wife LouAnn; grandchildren, Mandon Thompson, Cameron Hudgins, Courtney Hudgins, Meaghan White, Kathleen Salas, Lee Warren, Collin Dawson, Cade Dawson, Austin Currie, Alex Currie, Justice Jett, and Easton Jett. Ms. Shaver also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.
