Sherry “Smiles” Alarcon took her first step into the next life on February 8th, 2014 and was accompanied by her loving family.

Raised in Oxnard, Sherry loved to spend time amongst family and friends. She was a good person with a huge heart. She enjoyed backyard barbecues and jamming out to oldies and oldskool music. She brought life and laughter wherever she went. A big kid at heart, smiles was known to keep everyone on their toes when she was around. She loved to be silly and pull pranks whenever possible, no matter the situation she always looked back at you with one of her memorable smiles. She also had a love of sports she played baseball, basketball and even trained with Brandon Vera of UFC while persuing her degree at San Diego City College. Sherry’s laughter and love for life will be missed but never forgotten .We will see you soon on the other side!

Sherry is survived by her loving girlfriend Roxanne Sanchez of Norwalk, CA., her mother Deborah Cano-Salas, step-father John Baca, her younger sister and family Alexandra “Flac” Cano-Wright, husband James and children Anicya “Sweet Pea” and Bobby “Blackbird”; her youngest sister Stephanie Baca and children Rhianna and Leila; Grandmother Sarai Castillo, Tia Rebecca Montoya, cousins Johnny, Roman “Chito”, Alicia “Bobby”, and Cinnamon; Tio Mark Grado, Tia Gloria “Flea” and cousin Anna and children; Uncles Nicolas and Andrew Crisosto, all of Port Hueneme and South Oxnard, CA.
