Salem Sherrol Duane Lipscomb, 70, of Rt. 2, West Union, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the home of Desiree Matheny who was his caregiver in his final days following an extended illness. He was born in Doddridge County on September 29, 1940, the son of the late Raymond and Addie Hyatt Lipscomb. Mr. Lipscomb is survived by three sons, Duane Lipscomb and wife Patricia of Buckhannon, Roscoe Lipscomb and wife Lesa of Adrian, and Michael Lipscomb and wife Rebecca of Somerville, Indiana; grandchildren ,Edward. Ashley, Denise, Roscoe ,Christa, Dalton, Josi, and Brittney Lipscomb. Preceding him in death was his son David Lipscomb, daughter Clustina Lipscomb, two brothers, Thomas Lee Lipscomb and Frances Lipscomb and an infant brother. Sherrol was a truck driver having been employed by WS Thomas and Nicholson Auto. He served in the National Guard.
