Sherrill Houghton Houston, 88, of Edwards, Colorado and Essex, New York passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November, 6, 2017 from complications due to dementia and multiple myeloma. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary, and four children: Timothy of Bakersfield, California; Anne Breckheimer (Bret) of Eagle, Colorado; David (Jeanna) of Jacksonville, Florida; and Caroline Leonardo (Jeffrey) of Edwards, Colorado; and three grandchildren, Joseph and Gabrielle Leonardo and Frida Houston.
Sherry was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. He attended Milton Academy and then received a degree in Geology from Harvard College in 1951. After OCS he served on the USS Botetourt during the Korean war.
