Mr. Sherall “Mac” McAlpin age 59 of the Cypress Community passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in the Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 7, 1952 in Marianna to the late L. B. and Ella McAlpin. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was known for being a “handy-man”. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, L.B. McAlpin, Jr. and Ronnie Gean McAlpin. Mr. McAlpin is survived by six brothers; Jack McAlpin (Janice) of Cypress, Harold McAlpin (Ellen) of Marianna, Larry McAlpin of Cypress, Wayne McAlpin of Marianna and Ricky McAlpin (Anna) of Marianna and Darrel McAlpin of Cypress, three sisters; Eloise Abila of Marianna, Dianne O’Bryan of Marianna and Anita McClendon (Roger) of Altha. Mr. McAlpin is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
