Sherman P. “Monk” Woodward Jr. entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 17, 1929, he was a life-long Bethany resident. For most of his life Sherman managed and worked Clover Nook Farm as the 6th generation of his family to do so. A farmer and dairyman, Sherman also drove a Bethany Community School bus for 24 years and spent time as a truck driver and construction equipment operator.
Sherman leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara (Dahn) Woodward, his daughters, Linda Russell and Deborah Demander (husband Eric), a son, Russell Woodward Sr., two remarkable sisters, Helen Fassett and Marion Sandell, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his youngest child, Sherman “Skip” Woodward III.
