Sherman LaFeyette Mosley, a native of the Walker Springs community, answered the Master’s call Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Jackson Medical Center. Born Feb. 9, 1957 to Anna Smith, he was 63 years of age.
Sherman was a graduate of Jackson High School in the Class of 1974, where he was an avid basketball player. He loved attending car shows, which was one of his hobbies. A lawn care specialist, he owned and operated his own business for many years. He was also a truck driver.
An active member of Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, he also sang in the choir.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and beautiful wife of 25 years, Lorraine Mosley of Walker Springs; four children, Anthony Mosley of Austell, Ga., Mauricy Brown of Jackson, Deidra Brown of Savannah, Ga., and Carla McGaster of Auburn; six grandchildren, Bryson, Andrew, Makalyn, Niya, Zechaihn and Kaitlyn; his loving mother, Anna Smith Mosley of Walker Springs; two brothers, Edgar (Charlotte) Mosley of Chicago, Ill., and Lester Smith of Walker Springs; two sisters, Chelry (Alvin) Morris of Walker Springs and Hazel (Ed) McClain of Birmingham; mother-in-law, Luerether Brown of Walker Springs; two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
