Sherilyn Deyanne Sabin, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 23, 2022, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Herkimer, New York, the oldest of five children to the late Bernard and June Venema.
Sherilyn is survived by her children, Marc (Sarah) Sabin, Traci (Andrew) Witt, and Kara (Clifton) Matekovich. She was a beloved “Mimi” to her seven grandchildren: Caley, Téa and Soleil Sabin; Lenna, Lillian and Davis Witt; and Noah Matekovich, as well as her siblings, Deborah Miller, Gayle (Malcolm) Miner, Kurt Venema and Cynthia King; and in-laws Deborah Sabin, Robert (Janet) Sabin, Kim Lagow and many nieces and nephews.
