SHELTON NELSON EDWARDS, age 79 of Manassas, Virginia died Monday, April 22, 2002 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Mr. Edwards was born February 10, 1923 in Fauquier County, Virginia son of the late Raymond and Fannie Gertrude Edwards. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II and was awarded the American Theater Service Ribbon, the European-African-Middle-Eastern Service Ribbon, the World War II Victory Ribbon and fought in the Battle of The Bulge. He retired as a manager with Merchants Terminal. Survivors include one son, Larry E. Edwards, of Fairfax, Virginia, one daughter, Winnie G.B. Poehler, of Manassas, Virginia, two sisters, Claire Stephenson, of Alabama and Dorothy Wike, of Luray, Virginia, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
