On Friday December 9, 2022, Shelley Bartlett, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at age 70.
Shelley was born on September 12, 1952, at Great Lakes US Naval Hospital in Libertyville, IL to Walter and Shirley (Reynolds) Peterson. Shelley moved to North Hollywood, CA in 1954 and graduated from Grant High School in North Hollywood in 1970. She studied at BYU Hawaii, College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA and college in St. George, UT.
On September 25, 1976, she married Randall L. Bartlett and gained a son and daughter – Russell and Teri. Shelley and Randall lived in Downey, CA and Corona, CA where they raised their children and retired in 1999 before moving to Meridian, ID.
Shelley loved Disneyland and all things Disney. She frequented the amusement park throughout her life and collected Disney figurines. She loved Disney movies and cartoons, with Fantasia being her favorite. She also had a great appreciation for Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. She enjoyed trips to the local coffee shop with her beloved Labradors, Chance, Topper, and Ajax. She was a big fan of dancing and musicals. Shelly had a long career with the State of California, working for the Highway Patrol as a dispatcher and then overseeing state-run day-care facilities.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Randall Bartlett; her children Russell Bartlett (Michelle) and Teri DeCant; her grandchildren Chelsey Sellers (Nick), Ronan, Sophie, Lillian, and Max; her great grandchildren Alice, Jack, and Tristan. Also survived by her brother, Russell Peterson (Anne) and niece Lori (Fred).
