Sheldon P. Gillespie, 87, of Layton, Utah, passed quietly away, surrounded by his family on October 7, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1929, in Safford, Arizona, the son of Fay Gillespie and Leila Pearl Nulton. He married the love of his life Miriam Louise West on December 17, 1949, in Safford, Arizona.
Sheldon served his country honorably for more than 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Staff Sergeant.
