Sheila V. Rice, 71, of Nazareth, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. After fighting a courageous battle, she peacefully went to be with her Lord. She was the loving wife of Fred R. “Fritz” Rice. They would have been married for 53 years this April 27th. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Genevieve (Capone) Martucci. Sheila was a 1955 graduate of Liberty High School. She worked as a waitress at her sister Victoria’s restaurant, Sebio’s Lounge, in Bethlehem for 35 years. Later, she owned and operated a cleaning business. She was a member of the Bethlehem Community Fellowship Christian Church and was also a volunteer for the Spirit of the Lehigh Valley. Sheila was loved by everyone and wholeheartedly enjoyed to entertain, especially cooking huge spaghetti dinners for 20 plus hungry football players, including her grandsons, prior to Friday night games. Sheila loved her friends and family but the greatest joy of her life was being around her grandchildren. She also enjoyed Bingo, yard sales, garage sales and her trips to Las Vegas. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family. Survivors: husband Fred at home; son Fred R. Rice, Jr. and his wife Cindi of Bath; brothers Michael Martucci of Saucon Valley and Nick Martucci and his wife Jenny of Bethlehem; grandchildren Kirra, Boomer, Matt and Kolin. She is also survived by her faithful canine companions, Mimi and Loca. She was predeceased by her sons Eric and Richard, brothers Tony, Ned and Joe and sisters Rosie, Josephine and Victoria.
