Sheila Kay Hayhurst Brooks, 52, of Smithfield passed away at her residence on Friday, March 7, 2008. She was born December 6, 1955 in Wallace, a daughter of the late Glen Hayhurst and Garnet Starkey Hayhurst of Smithfield. She is survived by her fiancée of nine years, Randy Bowie; two daughters, Lori Lowe and her husband Kevin of Reader, WV, and Christine Streets and her husband DJ of Pine Grove; one son, Daniel Brooks and his wife Rachel of Greenwood; twelve grandchildren, Mariah, Savanah, Dusty and Austin Lowe; Jade, Kristen, Trey and Gavin Streets; Olivia, Devon, Riley and Harley Brooks; one brother, Charles Hayhurst, two sisters, Sharon Shuman and Linda Dulaney; and several nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Zoey. She was preceded in death by one brother Richard Brian Hayhurst. Sheila loved to sing and dance and was fond of karaoke. She also had a fine knack for decorating a house. She was a wonderful woman who had many friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
