Muncie-Sheila A. Henman, 76, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, January 18, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness with her children surrounding her. She was born on, October 3, 1941, in Muncie the daughter of Cecil and Martha (McShurley) Downham.
Sheila is a 1959 graduate of Cowan High School and later became trained as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and worked for several health care facilities in the Muncie area. Ms. Henman enjoyed playing bingo at the Eagles Lodge, was a huge fan of the Indiana Pacers, loved coloring, working puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Bill) Henman and Daniel Henman, both of Muncie; two daughters, Julie (Studebaker) Vance (husband-Larry), Muncie and Sherri Bumbalough (companion-Leo Duncan), Avon; one brother, Mike Downham (wife-Cindy) Cowan; nine grandchildren, Tanya Dellinger (husband-Jeremy), Greg Studebaker, Jayson Wright, Christopher Fawcett, Kaylee Bumbalough, Jeremy Bumbalough, Zachary Bumbalough, Austin Duncan and Patrick Duncan; two great grandchildren, Kayla Parker (husband-Peyton) and Kassidy Dellinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
