Shelia Cooper Guwin, age 75, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021 at her home in Senoia, Ga. Shelia was born on May 18, 1946 in Griffin, Ga to Ben and Mary Cooper. Shelia was preceded in death by her husband Jack Guwin and her brother Bennie Cooper. Shelia and Jack were married for 53 years. Two things are certain – Shelia loved the Lord and loved her family. She is the most selfless woman we’ve ever known. She has cared for and faithfully prayed for everyone in her immediate and extended family, as well as the many people that were blessed to know her. Shelia was well known in her community because she always worked hard and gave freely of her time to others. She was an amazing cook, and she made cooking for her large family or church socials look easy. She had many jobs over the years, but the one she took the most pride in and worked tirelessly at was raising her three sons, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Shelia always had a joyful smile on her face, no matter her circumstances. She could laugh and tell stories all day long. Any amount of time spent with her was precious. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Preceded in death by her Husband Jack Guwin, Father Vincent Ben Cooper, Mother Mary Helen Cooper, and brother Bennie Cooper. Survived by her three sons: Warren, Douglas “Tinker” (Regina), Scott (Tiffany), and Daughter-in-law Sandy Pruitt, Five Grandkids: Matthew Bradberry, Megan Sanford, Taylor Guwin, Copper Jackson Guwin, and Marissa Holinshed, and Four Great Grand Kids: Andrew Freeman, Bryce Sanford, Easton Holinshed, Scarlett Holinshed; and many nieces and nephews.
