DURHAM-Sheila Jones Champion, age 73, passed away on Friday evening, November 18, 2011, after several years of declining health. She was born on October 25, 1938 to the late Leonard and Nellie Parker Jones. Mrs. Champion retired in 2004 after 44 years of service as a cutter at Royal Home Fashions (Durham Drapery). She was blessed with being a 52-year breast cancer is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Champion Harkless (Ralph) of Durham; granddaughter, Sonya Majors Weitenbeck (Jason) and twin great-granddaughters, Kyleigh Paige and Reagan Elizabeth, all of New surviving Mrs. Champion are sisters, Edna Jones Carden (Homer) of Durham and Nancy Jones Francis of Cary; brothers, Leonard (Mickey) Michael Jones (Lois) of Houston, TX, Hugh Allen Jones (Doris), Jackie Lee Jones (Carol) of Durham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
