Sheila (Bentz) Marzi, 75, dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend, of Kensington, was carried by angels on March 11, 2015, after a brief illness. She married the love of her life, James Edward Marzi, on October 11, 1958 in Manchester. Sheila was a wonderful example of love, faith and charity. Born on January 29, 1940 in Hartford, to the late Catherine (Hyland) Bentz and William Bentz, she resided in Newington for many years before moving to Kensington. Jim won her heart at the ages of 14 and 15 by purchasing her a ten cent Good Humor toasted almond ice cream bar at the movies on Point O’ Woods Beach, and for the next 61 years they were soulmates. The traditions of summers spent at Point O’ Woods beach and winters in St. Martin with their friends who became family, are memories that will last forever. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lori Marzi Bosco, and her son-in-law, Brian Henry Bosco of Essex; and her cherished son, James Willam Marzi of Kensington. She has become an angel to her three grandchildren, her granddaughter, Kathryn Anne Phillips, and her soon-to-be grandson-in-law, Demetrios Psarofagis of Trumbull; her granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Phillips of Wappinger Falls, NY; and her grandson, James Nicholas Marzi of Kensington. She is also survived by the father of her granddaughters, Charles Phillips; the mother of her grandson, Jill Xiarhos; her only sister, Kathleen (Bentz) Fay and her brother-in-law, Hank Fay of Tolland; her brother-in-law, Louis Marzi, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her in-laws Louis and Elsie Marzi, and her sister-in-law Lorraine Firetto.
