Shea Lynn Berhost, 22, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 30 near Mancos, Colo., as the result of an automobile accident. She was born on May 27, 1993, in Albuquerque to Chris Berhost and Tatia Fernandez. She was fondly called several nicknames: Sugar Shea, Shea-sy Daisy, Shea-Shea and Burnt Toast. Shea graduated from Farmington High School in 2011. While there, she played soccer for the Scorpions. She also played club soccer for Venom. Shea attended San Juan College, where she studied radiology. She was an avid reader and always had her nose in a book. Shea never knew a stranger. She was a great big ball of fun with a contagious smile that would light up a room. She had a vibrant, radiant, beautiful soul. She loved all animals. Shea was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Jeanne Berhost; and great-grandparents, Janice and John Douglass, Pete and Polly Sorrow, John and Berta Hergenreter, and Ben and Francis Berhost. She is survived by her parents, Chris and Cindi Berhost of Katy, Texas, and Tatia Fernandez of Flora Vista; brothers, Tylan Berhost of Farmington, Kyler Berhost of Albuquerque and Dillon Burgess of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Tezzarea Fernandez of Farmington and Arynn Berhost of Katy, Texas; grandparents, Hedy and Larry Sorrow, and Rex and Linda Hitchcock of Farmington, and many dear friends.
