Shayleen M. Pastick died Friday, May 27th, 2022. She was 46. She is survived by her beloved son, Johnny R. Thompson Pastick, of Brookline; her mother Christine M. (Jenco) Pastick, of Milford, CT; a brother Lucas Pastick and his wife Anna Ryzak Pastick, of Glastonbury, CT; her former wife, Juliana Sales Thompson, of Brookline; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Shayleen was predeceased by her father, Steve J. Pastick, in March 2020.
Born February 19, 1976, in Bridgeport, CT, Shayleen grew up in Milford, CT and graduated from Joseph A. Foran High School, where she was an accomplished student serving as class treasurer and was a member of the National Honor Society, in addition to playing basketball, softball and volleyball. She continued her education at Northeastern University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and graduating Cum Laude.
After college, Shay remained in the Boston area where she enjoyed performing as a bassist and lead singer with a number of rock bands, most recently “Courtney Hate”; she was a talented musician, singer-songwriter, and often described as “the life of the party”.
