Shawn P. Collins, age 51, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Shawn was born June 29, 1971 in Wisconsin Rapids to Gordon and Dorothy (Hopp) Collins Sr.
He worked at several places throughout his life, but was best known for his work as a self-employed autobody technician.
Shawn enjoyed autobody work and was an exceptional artist. He was very mechanically inclined and once fabricated a go-kart out of nothing but a motor and scrap. He loved riding his motorcycle, dirt bikes and four wheelers. He also enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.
Shawn is survived by two sons: Ben and Lucas Collins; brother, Gordon (Connie) Collins Jr.; sisters: Lynn (Jeff) Collins and Laurie Sedall; as well as nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brothers Terry Collins and Brian “Sammy” Collins.
