She was born September 17, 1967 in Collbran, CO to Leo and Ann Spence Anderson. She was a waitress for over 25 years and team drove semi tractor trailers with her husband Phil all across the country. Shaun was a resident of Collbran most of her life. She graduated from Plateau Valley School where she participated in sports and played saxophone, playing the bass in Jazz and tenor in Marching band. She was a long time 4-H member raising steers and became a champion knitter. Shaun continued to knit beautiful sweaters that she herself and family wore. After high school, she attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango, CO for one year.
