Sharyn Sheriff, 68, of Spirit Lake passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Sharyn was born on February 21, 1949 in Sheldon, IA. Her parents were Matthew and Gertrude (DeKruif) Seivert. She graduated from high school in Sanborn and attended The Stewart School of Hair and Cosmetology. She worked as a Nurses Aide at the Nursing Home in Sanborn. Sharyn was united in marriage to Virgil Sheriff on August 24, 1993 in Ida Grove, IA. Sharyn loved to watch cowboy and western movies, listening to “oldies” music, baking,doing crafts and decorating. She loved the company of her cat “Tiggy”. She is survived by her brothers Robert (Nella) Seivert of Harlan, IA; Denny (Barb) Seivert of Renner, SD; sister Loretta (Harlan) Laubach of Sanborn, IA; seven nieces and nephews, Venus (Kent) Dreyer of Harlan, IA; Erin (Derrick) Fushimi of Denver, CO; Bobby (Dana) Seivert of Panama, IA; Kailee Seivert of Renner, SD; Nathan Seivert of Renner, SD; Amber (John) Kleve of Sanborn, IA; and Courtney Laubach of Sanborn, IA; three great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
